Let's Get Autumn Started! Here Lies... LE LIVE!

For me out in the Pacific Northwest, Summer really never got started. I mean we're now getting weather in the mid eighties, but I'm sure most of you are over the mercury broiling in the triple digits. I say, if we can't have the weather we want, we can at least revel in delusion and have the Fall season begin in our hearts and minds, right? Let's scatter the bats in the belfry and officially ring the skull bell with the femur bone; this is Halloween (the beginning, anyway!)

Before we unleash this season's Limited Editions and Resurrecteds, we're starting the season right with a blood pulsing panic: we're resurrecting HERE LIES..., the cryptic perfume that sold out within 48 hours. Last year, I made 13 perfumes that came complete with a personalized label and their own hand painted and decorated coffins. This year, I'm going to do the same horrible thing and make only 13 coffins available. They will be taken off the site once they're sold out not to be seen again... until next year. Maybe. Don't miss out!

A Limited Edition
5ml of spooky brew complete with a personalized headstone label on the 5ml, enshrouded in a wooden coffin hand painted and decorated by Vajra.

A tip of the Baron's top hat to the mortal coil that we all inevitably must shed...
Chthonic black patchouli, bruised plum, decaying wood, grave moss, pooling red amber, withering ghost white myrrh resin and post mortem vanilla blossoms.

Here Lies...
Limited Edition

$50 for 5ml Perfumed oil with personalized label enshrouded in a hand-painted & decorated black and silver wooden coffin.

The Coffin is a definite collectors item and perfect for future pip storage!
 Good luck,

Conjure Clean - Hunks 'o Hoodoo - Preview!

Witchin' in the Kitchen

The business of crafting conjure is one of experimentation, creativity and insight; it is the melding of practicality with magickal means. When we look at the "common" items in our lives we may be weighed down with the banality of existence, but with the right perspective, things that seem droll or commonplace can take on a sparkle and exist as something more that meets the eye.

Take soap, for example. We need it to get clean. Some amazing artisans craft beautiful bars that are works of art in their play of color, light and fragrance: they elevate the humble soap to another level.

I say let's take it higher!

I've been feverishly working on a new product line, tentatively called Witchin' the Kitchen. A line of personal and household products crafted Conjure style! Why let the dishes be drudgery, or the laundry be loathsome? If, by definition, magick is the art of changing consciousness at will, why not add intention into the mix? (Along with corresponding herbs and botanical oils, of course!)

Immerse your hands in a sink of love drawing lather, wash your socks in suds of success. Or shower with hunks of fragrant hoodoo super soap!

We're offering a preview of some of the product prototypes that I've been using personally for the last several months with great success! They're all natural, herbal and certainly sexy.

The Goods:

Concentrated Laundry Powder - 8oz. $10
Automatic Dishwasher Powder 8oz. $10
Dish Washing Liquid - 4oz. $15
Floor Wash - 4oz. $15
Hunk o' Hoodoo Soap - 4oz. $7

The Magick:

House Mistress - Love drawing
Diamonds & Pearls - Money drawing
High Heels - Success
Yes Dear - Peaceful Home
Sanctimonious - Spiritually cleansing

The packaging is super cute with a retro witchy pin-up look.

Get You Some

Pick the ones you want, add up the total, add $5 for shipping and send that amount to paypal at conjureoils dot com then send me an email with what you've ordered! (vajra at conjureoils dot com)

True house magic! We all have to do chores, why not make your them work for you?

Good Luck,

Wu Xing: Seasonal Splendor in the Chinese Gardens, the Return of Printemps and FREE SHIPPING!

Wu Xing: Seasonal Splendor in the Chinese Gardens
Wu Xing: Seasonal Splendor the Chinese Gardens, Late Summer 2011 is now LIVE!
Taking its inspiration from the Portland Chinese Gardens, Wu Xing: Seasonal Splendor in the Chinese Gardens is my deep, reverent and contemplative bow to the seasons of the year; how their mutable and mercurial presence reminds us that through nature, we can find healing and enlightening metaphors for our own lives and processes.
Fragrances in the Limited Edition collection are available in one size:

5ml Brown Apothecary Bottle - $17.50
Order the entire set and a pip of Chinese Dragon's Blood will be included with your order!
Lotions, Sugar Scrubs, Sprays and Soaps scented with fragrances from the Wu Xing series are available in the Oddment Emporium as well!

The Azure Dragon
SPRING: Element of Wood. The sun rising in the East, the verdant and expansive energy of the planet Jupiter. Generative, sprouting, sensitive, new born. Taking in the sights: looking through picture books, or enjoying everything from Spring flowers to sour lemons.
Mirabelle plum, coconut husk, lemon honey, cedar wood, aged amber resin, sandalwood musk, crushed moss and tonka bean.
The Vermillion Bird
SUMMER: Element of Fire, the color red, the midday sun blazing in the summer sky. The direction South, the energetic and active energy of the planet Mars. The expansiveness of Summer: blooming, youthful, hot, creative, sweaty, happy. Chatting and laughing over coffee with loved ones.
Apricot nectar, honeysuckle blossoms, vanilla musk, creamy white amber, heliotrope, basmati rice and a drop of sweet clove.

The Yellow Dragon
LATE SUMMER: Element of Earth. Long shadows cast in the golden light of the late afternoon. Finding your center, stabilizing and exercising the constraint of Saturn's energy. Fruit ripening on the vine: mouth-watering sweetness, damp and fragrant. The clarity of purpose; adulthood. Pure love.
Aged vanilla resin, ginger infused red patchouli, seductively sweet Medjool dates and exotic Silk Road spices.

The White Tiger
AUTUMN: Element of Metal, the silvery shimmer of the sun setting in the West; white twilight, loving Venus glimmering in the dusky sky. The melancholy of turning within and contracting our energy. The pungency of withering flowers, old age and the grief of impermanence.
Black tea, crushed violet petals, peach sugar, red sandalwood, aged amber resin, cured tobacco, soft suede and threadbare linen

The Black Tortoise
WINTER: Element of Water. Frozen in the silent blackness of midnight we lie dormant, longing for the ever-changing, spontaneous energy that is the signature of Mercury. Conserving our energy, we fend off our primal fears of darkness and death while we wait in suspended animation for the creative cycle to begin again with the rising sun.
Pomegranate fruit, blood musk, black vanilla orchid, dark patchouli, sugared amber, black currant and deep myrrh.

Le Sacre du Printemps - Back Again
Due to multiple requests (and because I'm a sap!) Le Sacre du Printemps is again available for your enjoyment! Both lines will be live until the end of August, or until supples are exhausted; whichever comes first!
The Conjure Works
A big thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate The Conjure Works' petite opening last Saturday! It means more to me than you'll ever know! Things are still moving right along and we're getting close to being open to the public. I'm thinking we'll be open for business toward the end of this week. Stay tuned! We're also still accepting donations if you'd like to contribute and support the Conjure Works from a distance! If you donate $25 or more, you'll receive a 5ml bottle of Gratitude! Click HERE for the scent description and the donate button!
Meanwhile, here are some more recent pictures of the space and of the party. A good time was had by all!

Looking in on the space toward the counseling area and the couch which everyone covets.

The oil mines are hidden behind the couch and blinds. No one should be subjected to that level of chaos! :D

There was such a good turn out for the celebration! Miss Lucy had a blast and the Rose City Steampunks, Local 23 were out in full force!
Lammas blessings,
