Guess what?!? It's Goth Chick Appreciation Day Once Again! 

While it might have its origins in a silly Facebook meme, Goth Chick Appreciation day has stuck a chord with thousands of Goth, (or recovering Goth) ladies out there and it's completely understandable why! So much of the year we spend fending off questioning or horrified looks from people - it's nice to have a day to be honored and at least one day a year where our wardrobe makes sense!

I made this one available in May for a brief period, so I don't have many bottles left for this year. And honestly, I think this is the last time I'm going to be able to offer it because of component issues, so if you've been on the wrought iron cemetery fence, now is the time to get yours!

Lucy, what else is there to say that I didn't say these last two years to you? With each passing year, I witness your journey from dependent infancy to an independent young girl. In your eyes I can catch fleeting glimpses of the woman you will become, and while I know that day is still a long distance away, a part of me agonizes over the feeling that time is blasting past in leaps and bounds while another part of myself feels the days slide by slowly, imperceptibly, achingly slow.

It is my wish for you on your third birthday that you continue to grow into the kind hearted, warm and loving person that you are and that now that you are a big sister, you will teach your younger brother how to shine in the world as you do.

Lucy, you're sugar and filigree to me - It's how you sweetly turn and twist through time, continually embedding yourself deeper and deeper into my heart. Never let go.

MOODY BASTARD
Happy 30th Birthday, Sterling! 


On April 21st, my dear hubs turned 30. And while he may be in deep denial over it, I still find cause for celebration! (And yes, my husband, my daughter and my son were are all born in April within two weeks of one another!) Sterling's birthday falls on the cusp between Aries and Taurus which I believe gives him a tendency to be rather intense and moody. (Sterling shares a birthday with Robert Smith from the Cure and we all know what kind of reputation that guy has for being melancholy and cantankerous! There just may be something in the stars that day after all....)

In honor of all the gloomy curmudgeons of the world, I present Moody Bastard, a blend most dark and brooding:

Paczki Day 2013 is LIVE at Conjure!

PACZKI DAY 2013!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND ! Celebrate Fat Tuesday Conjure style with our NINE Polish pastry inspired perfume oils! Growing up in Southeastern Michigan like I did, it wasn't hard to find a box of these delectable sweet treats! For those who don't know what a paczki is, (pronounced "poonchky") it's like a large huge doughnut stuffed to the brim with various intoxicatingly sweet fillings ranging from traditional plum and rose hip jam to more modern conventions like Bavarian custard, apple or raspberry. Though it's no typical doughnut - the paczki is sweeter and spongier. They can be topped with powdered or granulated sugar, or with icing. Truly, the mortal doughnut pales in comparison!

Paczki are a convenient way to get all of the sugar, fat and temptation out of the house before the sparse season of Lent rears it head. Fortunately, we've conjured a great way to get the paczki experience throughout whilst avoiding the calories as well! It's like magic! Indulge!

CONJURE PACZKI SELECTIONS

PLUM JAM PACZKI
Sweet dough is filled with black plum jam and dusted with refined powdered sugar.

BAVARIAN CUSTARD PACZKI
Fried pastry dough filled with thick vanilla Bavarian custard and coated with granulated vanilla sugar.

ROSE HIP JAM PACZKI 
Fresh paczki are served warm, overflowing with rose hip jam and drizzled with sweet honey sugar glaze.

BLUEBERRY and GARDENIA PACZKI 
Wonderfully sweet and deep fried dough dusted with powdered sugar, spice and filled with plump, succulent blueberry and gardenia flower compote.

COCONUT CHOCOLATE CARAMEL CHAI PACZKI 
A twist on a traditional favorite! A filling of toasted coconut flakes coated in chai spiced infused salted caramel stuffed to bursting in a flaky golden shell topped with a drizzle of milk chocolate ganache.

CARAMELIZED APPLE and CHAMOMILE PACZKI
Fresh Granny Smith apples reduced with baker's sugar, cinnamon and gooey caramel packed in a delectable paczki pastry coated with a chamomile tea glaze. .

LEMON CURD and ARABIAN JASMINE PACZKI 
Creamy sweet lemon filling, fragranced with Arabian jasmine petals encased by a powdered sugar topped doughy delight.

RASPBERRY and SWEET PEA PACZKI 
Lovely red raspberries stewed with vanilla, sweet pea blossoms and pink rock candy sugar sweetly oozing out of a honey glazed paczki pocket.

STRAWBERRY and HIBISCUS PACZKI 
Plump and crimson strawberries, allspice, clove, sweet orange zest and gorgeous hibiscus flowers packed into its sweet and sticky balsamic glaze coated shell.

Paczki will available until March 21st, or until we sell out! And I must say this: while these do indeed smell good enough to eat, they are not in any way, shape or form intended for consumption, human or animal. External use only!
