Well that was a hiatus, wasn't
it? After Ming! died, I had a heart thick with grief and endured a
pretty heavy duty surgery on my pancreas (I'm fine! No worries!) but the
healing and recovery from it has been sheer hell. I can endure physical
pain and discomfort, but it deeply affected my energy and endurance.
Couple that with general malaise and you have a recipe that kills even
the most stalwart creative person's juices.
But today I'm back, bitches! I
am INSPIRED by today's Supreme Court ruling that legalizes and
recognizes marriage equality in all 50 states. It's truly a great day in
America when the Constitution is upheld allowing equal protection under
the law, freedom and liberty to all who live here. May our society
continue this patriotic and proud pace!
While we take today to
rightfully celebrate this historic victory, tomorrow it's back to work!
There are many issues that we must lavish with our love and attention.
Today's victory is but a step on the constant incline on the journey to
justice, equality and liberty.
All proceeds (after basic costs and expenses. Read: most) will be donated to Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Fund, an organization that works to bring an end to GLBT youth homelessness. A truly worthy cause!
